Pension Technician

Department: Pension


Location: San Jose, CA


Job Type: Temp-to-Hire


Pay Rate: $26.92 – $28.58 per hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:



  • Handle retirement benefit calculations and pension-related inquiries


  • Provide excellent customer service to members regarding retirement options and plan benefits


  • Review and process pension data and documents in accordance with plan rules and regulations


  • Maintain accurate records and documentation


  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to track and report data


  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure timely processing


Requirements:



  • Fluent in Spanish and English (Required)


  • 2+ years of customer service experience (Required)


  • 2+ years of Microsoft Word and Excel use (Required)


  • At least 1 year of experience with retirement plans (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and/or 401(k) plans) – Preferred not required


  • Basic accounting knowledge – a plus


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
