Accountant - General
Accounting & Finance
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, cash flow management, accounts payable, and payroll
- Coordinate preparation of tax returns and estimated tax payments working with the outside CPA firm
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of property tax bills
- Coordinates travel for commercial flights, makes hotel reservations, organizes itineraries, screens phone calls and emails, and assists in preparation of written correspondence
- Assures care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintains inventory levels for office supplies, copy/fax machine, printers, and postage machine
- Manage special projects and conduct research as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is nice to have
- Strong experience in a small family office environment would be preferred
- Excellent experience in accounting and operations administration
- Ability to identify and resolve problems and discrepancies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel – Intermediate/Advanced)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Comfortable being hands-on and rolling up your sleeves and getting into the work
- Excellent time management skills, analytical, and meet deadlines
Experience: 7 years of tenured experience (Office Manager, Operations Accountant, Full Charge Bookkeeper)
