Chief Information Officer (CIO) – Legal Organization

A well-established legal organization is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) currently residing in the Southern California region. This is a confidential search conducted by LHH. If you meet the qualifications listed below, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles.

  • Proven experience in IT within a legal services environment.

  • Demonstrated success implementing AI technologies to enhance IT processes and operational efficiency.

  • Experience managing or integrating AI with legal applications is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with managing legal and non-legal applications such as:

    • Filevine

    • Everlaw

    • Westlaw Precision

    • NetDocuments

    • Litera Litigation Companion

Preferred Experience With:

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft O365

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint

  • RingCentral

  • Tikit (Microsoft product)

  • Meraki

Required:

  • Strong cybersecurity background, including protecting mid-sized organizations (approx. 400 employees) with sensitive data.

  • Experience leading teams across Application Support, Helpdesk, Networking, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, Data, and IT Operations.

  • Ability to assess and recommend team structure, budget, headcount, and skillsets for future growth.

  • Willingness and ability to mentor and train junior Helpdesk staff.

  • Collaborative, proactive, and self-starting leadership style.

This role will begin with three direct reports, with plans to expand the team shortly after hire. The CIO will play a key role in shaping the future of the IT department.



Pay Details: $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 per year
