Position Overview: HVAC Technician
Onsite - Sacramento!
Under the guidance of the Lead HVAC Mechanic and HVAC Supervisor, this role involves the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and related environmental systems across various properties. The technician will perform skilled work in HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, controls, water treatment, and auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve equipment issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and adhere to scheduled maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components in HVAC systems.
Deliver consistently high-quality service to clients and tenants.
Manage truck inventory in alignment with company standards.
Engage in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements.
Conduct routine maintenance on cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
Submit timely and accurate reports as per company protocols.
Communicate effectively with property management regarding service updates.
Handle refrigerant recycling and charging (EPA certification required).
Replace and repair HVAC components such as compressors, condensers, pumps, motors, valves, belts, and bearings.
Aim to resolve issues on the first visit whenever possible.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Innovate and suggest improvements to enhance tenant satisfaction.
Perform welding and soldering tasks as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to interpret safety guidelines, maintenance manuals, and procedural documents.
Skilled in installing copper and PVC piping.
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Capable of making sound technical decisions under pressure.
Comprehensive understanding of heating systems and their components, including diagnostic tools and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with various HVAC systems such as air-cooled, water-cooled, hot water, chilled water, VAV, and building automation systems.
Knowledge of refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, and proper piping installation and sizing.
Qualifications:
EPA Universal Certification
HVAC Certification
3–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service and repair
Pay Details: $66,560.00 to $81,120.00 per year
