As a Housing Navigator, you’ll help individuals and/or families experiencing homelessness find stable housing through outreach, shelter support, and resource referrals. This role is part of a County of San Diego initiative focused on empowerment and long-term housing solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Guide clients in setting and achieving housing goals
Enroll eligible clients during organized county outreach events and referrals, providing shelter and working collaboratively with clients to secure housing opportunities.
Connect them with affordable housing and community resources
Deliver outreach, temporary shelter via Hotel Voucher, transportation, and Housing Location services to clients facing homelessness.
Build relationships with landlords and property managers
Maintain accurate case documentation
Promote self-sufficiency and stability
What You Bring:
1+ year working with unhoused populations
Bachelor’s in Human Services (preferred) or equivalent experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (90% field-based). Mileage reimbursed
