Role Overview
As an In-House Lawyer, you will be at the forefront of our client's business strategy, offering legal advice and support on major projects. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, providing guidance on commercial legal matters, including contracts with customers, distributors, and project owners, as well as dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Partnership: Work alongside the business capture team to identify and address legal issues.
- Contract Negotiation: Review, comment, and negotiate project sales terms and conditions in various industries such as energy, data centres, and civil construction.
- Corporate Interface: Act as a liaison with the Corporate Legal Department.
- External Counsel Management: Select and manage outside counsel as needed.
- Commercial Representation: Represent our client in discussions with customers and project owners.
- Team Collaboration: Be an active member of the Legal & Compliance team.

What You Need
- Qualifications: Full legal qualification.
- Experience: Background in an international law firm or legal department of a multi-national company.
- Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, team player, ability to manage competing priorities.
- Expertise: Knowledge in commercial law, engineering or construction law, and industry contract frameworks.
Desirable Attributes
- Additional Qualifications: Admission as Solicitor or Barrister for England and Wales.
- Specialised Knowledge: Experience in competition law or product liability law.
- Advanced Degrees: MBA, LL.M., or admission to the bar of a foreign jurisdiction.
- Industry Experience: Experience with EPC companies or major suppliers to EPCs.
- Dispute Resolution: Experience in project claims or disputes.
