Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Equity Settlements Analyst to join their Post Trade Services team in the heart of London. This exciting temporary position offers a daily rate ranging from £300 to £343, with a contract length of 9 months.
What You'll Do:
As the Equity Settlements Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the timely and accurate processing of equity trades. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing business-as-usual (BAU) support for the Equity Post Trade Services function.
- Supervising daily team tasks to ensure completion within deadlines and adherence to operational procedures.
- Monitoring settlement scenarios, particularly in Japan (JASDEC), and managing equity trade exceptions.
- Engaging with various stakeholders, including Operations, Front and Middle Office teams, and compliance functions.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes based on analysis and evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely settlement of equity trades by collaborating with global agents and counterparties.
- Oversee the administration of 4-eye checks and key controls to mitigate risk.
- Manage daily requirements such as cash and stock breaks resolution, sanction screening, and collateral management.
- Generate regular management reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain and review desktop procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in Post Trade Services, particularly in settlement flow and reconciliation processing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Proficient in Excel, with the capability to manipulate financial data effortlessly.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and collaborative team player.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and a keen eye for identifying efficiencies.
