THE OPPORTUNITY



The Vice President, Sales works closely with the Executive Team to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy. They are a results-driven sales leader with a passion for driving revenue growth. They bring sharp attention to detail and thrive in fast paced, high growth environments that require adaptability and frequent travel. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the wholesale/ retail landscape, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales performance in a B2B environment.




KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team that consistently achieves revenue & profitability targets.
  • Lead a team of professional sales executives to establish greater reach, promote and extend the company brand and act as ambassadors that showcase the most innovative products in the category.
  • Set sales quotas and goals for the team and ensure they are met or exceeded.
  • Forecast future demand and develop company sales targets with a high level of accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Provide leadership and innovation in key account development, management and expansion, consistently broadening customer base.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the sales process is efficient and effective.
  • Use data and analytics to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs for the team to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with industry trends and changes to ensure the company remains competitive.
  • Key member of the Senior Leadership Team.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES


The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes:



  • Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Bachelor's degree, with preference given to an MBA.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability.
  • High level of initiative and the ability to work independently where necessary.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience creating and leveraging multiple channels to market including ecommerce.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform the decision-making process.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other executives and departments.
  • Listens to diverse perspectives with an empathetic attitude.
  • Recognizes our customers as our most important stakeholders.
  • Continuously takes initiative and embraces change.
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be available for frequent national and international travel.
  • Experience in the UV or Water industry is highly valued.
