LHH is currently recruiting a Litigation and Trademark Legal Assistant for a well-respected law firm in Seattle, WA. This full-time direct hire position requires you to make well-reasoned, effective decisions while organizing case files, preparing trademark applications, and assisting with trial preparation. Manage attorney calendars and assist in drafting legal documents for litigation processes. Hybrid position after 30 days of onsite training. (3 days in office required)

Responsibilities:

· Organize and maintain case files, including photocopying, filing, typing, and updating case indices.

· Assist with the preparation and filing of trademark applications, renewals, and responses.

· Research, retrieve, collect, and compile case materials for use by attorneys and experts.

· Assist as needed with trial preparation, including trial exhibits, witness notebooks, and pleadings.

· Address all aspects of discovery, including drafting form pleadings.

· Prepare motions, pleadings, and declarations.

· Open files for new matters and follow attorney directives regarding case and client guidelines.

· Manage attorney calendar including meetings, professional conferences, events, depositions, case schedules, and all rules-based deadlines (for varying jurisdictions).

Qualifications:

• 2-3+ years’ prior experience as legal assistant

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat

• Working knowledge of litigation documents

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
