Our Client is expanding its field leadership capacity and is seeking a Field Construction Manager to oversee critical electric utility infrastructure programs across multiple service territories. This role provides direct oversight of construction crews, contractor performance, and technical execution for structure inspection, restoration, and targeted upgrade projects.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage field construction activities: pole groundline inspection, wood pole restoration, steel pole & tower inspection/repair, and insulator replacement.
Conduct job start meetings and align contractors, inspectors, and coordinators on scope, schedule, and safety.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, oversee quality assurance, and address field-level issues.
Identify hazards and enforce safety protocols, maintaining OSHA and industry-standard compliance.
Coordinate field schedules, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of electric utility experience in line or substation construction; 3+ years in a supervisory capacity preferred.
Technical knowledge of overhead, underground, and substation construction, plus electrical system operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure field environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus. Valid driver’s license required.
