Work Location: Remote (Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah)
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension or temp-to-hire
We’re hiring an Intake Specialist I where you’ll play a key role in supporting clinical operations through document review, workflow management, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and route incoming clinical documents using internal systems
Identify correct workflows based on member benefits and document type
Manage workload distribution to meet time-sensitive deadlines
Ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation practices
Support urgent appeals and weekend coverage as needed
Perform general administrative tasks (e.g., inventory, correspondence, equipment maintenance)
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ year of customer service or office experience (healthcare setting required)
Strong communication and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Comfortable adapting to fast-paced, evolving processes
Schedule & Connectivity Requirements:
Weekend shifts may be required (with flexible weekday time off)
Must be available to work past 6:00 PM PT and during holidays if needed
Must have a hard-wired internet connection (Cable, DSL, or Fiber only; satellite/mobile Wi-Fi not supported)
Company-provided equipment will be used
Compensation: $20-25/hr.
