We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support a high‑volume inbound call environment in Pittsburgh, PA. This role serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance and information. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing sensitive conversations while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will come from non-profit or human services.

This position is primarily remote, with initial onsite training and periodic in‑person meetings required. Local Pittsburgh‑area applicants only. This position is a contract role for 3 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and respond to incoming calls from individuals seeking information or support

  • Provide clear, accurate guidance based on caller needs

  • Assist individuals in navigating available programs or services

  • Document all interactions thoroughly and consistently

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and phone‑based communication skills

  • Passion for helping others

  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume call environment

  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism

  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems

  • Dependable, organized, and detail‑oriented

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Standard schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday

  • Remote after initial training

  • Occasional onsite attendance required for team meetings or equipment needs



Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
