We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Specialist with a strong background in human resources and healthcare to join our dynamic HR team. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, guiding managers, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate employee and leadership concerns related to conduct, performance, and policy compliance in a timely and professional manner.
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans and performance improvement plans.
- Resolve employee complaints and workplace conflicts in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
- Advise and coach managers on performance management, disciplinary procedures, and effective employee relations practices.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all employee relations issues, investigations, and outcomes.
- Contribute to employee engagement, retention strategies, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews, employee surveys, and check-ins (30/60/90 days); provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Use HRIS and other tools to analyze trends and prepare reports to inform HR strategy.
- Stay up to date with federal, state, and local labor laws to ensure compliance.
- Support accurate employee changes and offboarding processes within HRIS systems.
- Adhere to internal compliance standards and demonstrate confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in employee relations or HR, with at least 1 year in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Solid knowledge of HR best practices, performance management, and employment law.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgment.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
