Job Title: Rectification Specialist (2 Positions)
Location: Newark, NJ – 100% On-Site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 1+ Month Temporary Assignment
Overview:
Our Client is seeking two experienced Recertification Specialist to oversee operations across 12 affordable housing buildings. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring strong knowledge of HUD regulations, tax credit programs, and property management best practices. One of the buildings is secured with armed security.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of affordable housing properties grouped by funding sectors.
Conduct occupancy reviews, audits, and prepare required reports.
Collect rent payments and process them accurately.
Handle eviction procedures in compliance with housing regulations.
Manage annual tenant recertifications and coordinate their timely execution.
Review and maintain compliance files to ensure adherence to HUD and state agency requirements.
Apply tax credit rules and ensure program compliance.
Communicate effectively with residents and resolve tenant issues.
Perform both property site visits and office-based administrative tasks.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in affordable housing property management.
Strong understanding of HUD regulations and state agency compliance.
Familiarity with tax credit programs and recertification processes.
Ability to manage multiple properties and family units simultaneously.
Comfortable working on-site and engaging directly with residents.
