Pay Range: $40,000 – $50,000 annually
Location: Downtown LA | Full-Time
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals navigating mental health and recovery challenges? We’re seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join a dynamic team in Downtown Los Angeles. This role is ideal for someone with lived experience who can provide empathy, guidance, and advocacy to help others achieve stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one peer support to individuals in recovery, fostering trust and empowerment.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on wellness, coping strategies, and community integration.
- Assist clients in accessing resources such as housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
- Collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and community partners to ensure holistic support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Lived experience with mental health, substance use recovery, or related challenges (required).
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in peer support preferred.
