Accounts Payable Specialist

Pay Range: $25–$28 per hour

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a strong background in manufacturing and ERP systems? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organization in Houston, TX, and play a key role in their financial operations.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys problem-solving beyond routine data entry. You’ll be responsible for managing the full AP process, ensuring accuracy, and partnering with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable activities, including invoice verification, matching, and issue resolution.

  • Perform two- and three-way matching for purchase orders and receipts.

  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to troubleshoot discrepancies and maintain compliance.

  • Monitor and manage the AP email inbox, prioritizing inquiries and ensuring timely responses.

  • Support a shared services model by assisting team members and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP or similar) and Excel for high-volume invoice processing and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Manufacturing experience with strong understanding of three-way matching.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP or S/4HANA experience is a plus.

  • Flexible and collaborative mindset—comfortable stepping outside strict job boundaries when needed.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently while following established processes.

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional interaction and conflict resolution.

Location & Schedule

  • Onsite role in Northwest Beltway area, Houston, TX.

  • Full-time position with immediate start after interview.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate: $25–$28 per hour, based on experience.
