Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Fort Lee, New Jersey (100% On-Site); Free Private Parking Lot on-site
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 (dependent on experience)
Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Accounting Assistant to join our client’s finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a few years of hands-on accounting experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The company values employees who can multitask, remain calm under pressure, and contribute across multiple areas of accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
Prepare, review, and manage billing and invoicing cycles
Reconcile accounts and assist with basic financial reporting
Utilize Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting
Provide administrative and accounting support as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting experience; small business or family-owned company background preferred
Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a demanding environment
