Summary
The Quality Engineer will support aerospace/aviation manufacturing and engineering programs by ensuring parts, processes, and suppliers meet strict industry standards. This role focuses on root‑cause problem solving, documentation accuracy, and compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 while partnering closely with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Handle nonconformance investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA/RCCA).
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and verify drawings, specs, and dimensional accuracy.
Support internal audits and maintain compliance to ISO 9001 / AS9100.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Review product documentation, drawings, submittals, and supplier paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
Work with suppliers on quality issues, including vendor audits and documentation reviews.
Maintain measurement systems, quality records, and inspection processes.
Assist with quality‑related training and continuous improvement activities.
Typical Tools / Skills
Experience with FAI (AS9102), GD&T, inspection tools, and measurement systems.
Strong understanding of AS9100 / ISO 9001 requirements.
Root cause analysis (5‑Whys, Fishbone, etc.) and CAPA experience.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.
Familiarity with aerospace documentation systems (e.g., Net‑Inspect).
Supplier quality and manufacturing floor collaboration.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
