HR Specialist
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45223
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $24–$28 per hour (based on experience)
Assignment Length: Contract through December 31, 2025 minimum
Position Summary:
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support a variety of human resources functions in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role will involve onboarding, internal promotions, headcount tracking, HR service escalations, and support for new managers. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with experience handling confidential and complex HR tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding Support: Assist with new hire processes including offer documentation, relocation questionnaires, I-9 verification, and costing reviews
Immigration Support: Coordinate with mobility teams for permanent residency request processing
Internal Promotions: Manage communications, gather nominations, and coordinate leadership review meetings
HR Escalations: Submit and follow up on service requests through HR systems
Distribution List Management: Maintain and clean up distribution lists and internal communication structures
Manager Support: Set up supervisory orgs and assist with team transitions in HR systems
Headcount Management: Compile and report on workforce data and metrics
Manager Assimilation: Schedule and potentially facilitate onboarding sessions for new leaders
Meeting & Communication Support: Prepare materials and follow up for leadership meetings and events
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 3+ years in a human resources or HR operations role
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of labor and employment law
Workday or other HRIS system experience (preferred)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
