Customer Service & Support
LHH is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Loan Officer Assistant to support a high‑volume mortgage team in Charlotte, NC. This is an excellent contract-hire opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a structured environment, communicates effectively, and excels at keeping loan files organized and moving efficiently from application through closing. This is role paid in base plus variable bonus pay.
As a LOA, you will work closely with loan officers, borrowers, processors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth, compliant, and well‑coordinated mortgage lending process. This role reports to a leader who manages escalations and complex workflow support.
Key Responsibilities
• Track loan files and support multiple loan officers with daily workflow
- Review, organize, and verify borrower documentation with strong attention to accuracy
- Communicate with borrowers, processors, underwriters, and internal teams
- Maintain compliance through proper documentation handling and review
- Manage scheduling, calendars, and reporting requirements
- Assist with escalated questions under the direction of leadership
- Update loan origination systems (LOS) and internal databases
Qualifications
• 2+ years of mortgage or financial services support experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization
- Proficiency with LOS platforms and Microsoft Office
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, professional office environment
