LHH is actively searching for a full‑cycle Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join the finance team of a leading retailer near Buckhead. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes ownership of end‑to‑end AP processes—invoice intake through payment, vendor communications, and month‑end support.
Key Responsibilities
Full‑cycle invoice processing: Review, verify, and code invoices; perform three‑way match (PO/Receipt/Invoice); prepare payment runs (checks, ACH, wires); and post transactions with high accuracy.
Vendor management: Set up and maintain vendor master data (including W‑9 collection), manage payment terms, and serve as a primary contact for vendor inquiries.
Reconciliations: Perform vendor statement reconciliation and credit card reconciliation; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Compliance & tax: Support 1099 processing and ensure documentation aligns with internal controls and GAAP.
Issue resolution: Identify root causes of invoice/PO mismatches and drive resolutions by partnering with purchasing, receiving, and vendors.
Close & reporting: Assist with month‑end accruals and reconciliations; prepare AP aging and ad‑hoc reports for management.
Process improvement: Contribute ideas and actions to strengthen AP controls and advance paperless workflows.
Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of full‑cycle accounts payable experience, including invoice processing and check runs.
Systems: Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, formulas).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; clear, professional, and vendor‑focused.
Preferred: Familiarity with three‑way match workflows, W‑9/1099 compliance, and assisting with month‑end close.
Work requirements: Comfortable working 100% onsite in Buckhead
