The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join the national employment team. This role will involve a mix of complex contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including general advisory work, handling intricate employment tribunal claims, and providing guidance on reorganisation and redundancy issues, particularly in the context of healthcare legislation.
You will work under the mentorship of a highly experienced team leader with extensive public sector experience, particularly within the NHS. This position offers a unique chance to engage with both contentious and non-contentious employment work, allowing you to develop your career in a supportive environment.
Location:
This role can be based in either Manchester, Harrogate, or Southampton offices.
The Team:
The Employment team operates nationally and is recognised for its comprehensive expertise in the health and social care sectors. They serve a diverse array of long-standing clients, including providers, commissioners, regulators, and policymakers, delivering actionable advice across a broad spectrum of services.
Skills and Competencies:
- 1 to 3 years of PQE in employment law.
- Experience advising clients in the health, social care, and third sector organisations. NHS experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Proven track record in managing tribunal claims and other contentious matters, with the ability to handle day-to-day conduct of Employment Tribunal litigation files.
- Interest in business development and marketing, with support from a dedicated Client Services team.
