The Team

Our Construction & Engineering team is an integral part of the wider Real Estate & Development division. While primarily based in Southampton, we collaborate closely with colleagues across our offices in Bournemouth and London. We offer both contentious and non-contentious legal advice to a diverse client base, including national developers, contractors, funders, and high-net-worth individuals, across various construction projects-ranging from commercial and residential developments to public sector works and offshore wind farm constructions.


Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 years of PQE in construction law. This role is ideal for candidates with a blend of contentious and non-contentious experience, though we welcome applications from those specialising in either area.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide legal advice throughout all stages of construction projects, from planning and procurement to practical completion and dispute avoidance.
  • draught and negotiate building contracts, consultants' appointments, collateral warranties, and other essential documentation.
  • Manage matters effectively while engaging in business development activities to expand client relationships and networks.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team, benefiting from knowledge sharing and paralegal support.
