EMEA Senior Accountant
Location: Crawley Salary: £70,000 + Bonus Industry: PE‑Backed International Group
A fast‑growing, PE‑backed international organisation is seeking a highly skilled EMEA Senior Accountant to oversee and enhance the financial operations of its European entities. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic, scaling business, offering broad exposure across international accounting, consolidation, tax, and statutory reporting.
You will act as a key partner to internal global teams, third‑party finance providers, and external auditors ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year‑end consolidated financial statements for multiple international entities.
- Ensure accurate multi‑currency reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain strong financial controls across the EMEA region.
Tax, Compliance & Statutory Reporting
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and global regulatory reporting.
- Manage statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate international audits, partnering closely with external auditors and local advisors.
- Reconcile and articulate differences between local statutory accounts and group GAAP.
Business Partnering & Collaboration
- Work closely with global finance colleagues to harmonise processes and uphold consistent accounting standards.
- Engage with external partners, including outsourced finance teams, tax specialists, and auditors.
- Support ongoing improvements in financial systems, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
Experience Required:
- Fully qualified accounting status (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong experience managing finance for multiple international or EMEA entities.
- Solid understanding of global tax regulations, transfer pricing, and payroll fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with group consolidations and multi‑currency environments.
- Expertise in intercompany accounting and cross‑border transactions.
- A confident communicator able to work effectively with global stakeholders.
- Prior experience leading interactions with external auditors.
- High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and comfort working to deadlines.
- Strong systems capability with advanced Excel proficiency.
